Sakai Heavy Industries, Ltd. is a Japanese manufacturer company. Its headquarter situated in Minato-ku Tokyo, Japan. The company was founded in May 1918 and was incorporated in May 1949. Sakai manufactures the construction equipment and industrial machinery, and the sale of outsourced industrial machinery. The Sakai company was founded by Kinnosuke Sakai. The key people of the company Ichiro Sakai is the President of the company.

History of Sakai Machinery

 

In 1956:- Manufacturing of vibrating rollers (SR1) and reclaimers (PM103) begins.

In 1959:- Manufacturing of static pneumatic tired rollers (TR41) begins.

In 1968:- Static three-wheel roller developed with hydrostatic drive, equal drum size and equalline pressure (R1).

In 1972:- Hydrostatic drive wheel mounted road planer (ER160) developed.

In 1977:- Vibratory single drum roller (SV90) for heavy-duty earthworks developed.

In 1979:- All-wheel-drive、all-wheel-vibratory tandem roller (SW70) developed a Vibratory plate compactor (PC7) developed.

In 1982:- Tamper (VT6) developed. And an Asphalt compaction control system (RECOM) developed.

Sakai Machinery History

In 1983:- Preheater (PH300) and repaver-remixer (RM1000) for on-site asphalt pavement recycling developed.

In 1990:- Vertical vibratory roller (SD450) developed which was awarded the "Certificate of Construction Technology Developed in the Private Sector" by the former Ministry of Construction, now MLIT.

In 1995:- Mini-asphalt finisher (PT310) developed.

In 2004:- World's first vibratory pneumatic tired roller (GW750) developed.

In 2007:- Hydrostatic drive wheel mounted road planer (ER552F) developed.

In 2009:- World's first vibratory roller with mavibration mechanics (MW700) is registered on NETIS (system for promoting the use of new technologies in, e.g., public works) of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism. Reclaimer (PM550) also developed in the same year.

In 2012:- Vibratory single drum rollers (SV520/620) developed with the aim of cultivating the global market.

In 2018:- Sakai Machinery celebrated its 100th anniversary in May 2018.

Sakai Road Planer has fast mobilization speed of 27km/h(17mph) saves time and cost by eliminating the use of a trailer for hauls less than 20km(13miles). A single operator controls the entire machine. Drum width of 2,050mm(81in) and a maximum cutting depth of 230mm(9in). Smooth milled surface results from a long-wheelbase design and four rear wheels mounted on a bogey suspension to a motor grader system.
